ALHAURIN EL GRANDE

Town located in the province of Málaga, 30 Kms. from the capital city, and at 239 mts. over the sea level. Is one of the most picturesque villages in the Guadalhorce river valley and it is situated between the river Fahala and the stream of Blas González. The Southeast of the municipal boundary is mountainous and the rest plain. It has a very mild climate with soft winds blowing from the North and West.

From Alhaurín there is a very nice view over the "Hoya de Málaga" - Malaga's vale -, which looks like a vast carpet of lemon trees and other fruit trees.

Almost all its streets are narrow and winding except the modern ones which are wide and well designed. The Convent Square was recently renovated, placing on it, the Roman pillars found in the outskirts of the town. The Town Hall and the church of the Vera Santa Cruz, are located in this square.
