The most important festivities in Alhaurin, keeps on the 2nd. and 3rd. of May to revere the Saint Christ of the Vera Cruz and Maria Santisima de la Soledad, in the chapel of the Convent, when organised by the "greens", and on honour of Jesús Nazareno keeps a fortnight after Corpus Christi, in the chapel of Saint Sebastian Square, when organised by the "purples".
The day of the town's patron saint, Our Lady of Grace, keeps on the 15th. of August and the typical Andalusian style feria on the 24th. and 25th. May.
The "verdes" (greens) and the "moraos" (purples), are the two brotherhoods in town. There is a great rivalry between them and they try every year to do the celebration with much more brilliance than their rivals.
