A Parkland course, and the first foray into golf design by José Maria Cañizares, Añoreta is only the second to be built east of Malaga. Under the management of Mr. Francisco Alvarez and the chairmanship of Mr. Vicente Marín López, this 18 holes course offers a good challenge and is improving with age, something which summer golfers will welcome as the trees mature and the shady areas increase for relief from the heat.

Water is a major feature , used at eleven holes and unforgettable at the 17 where the green is surrounded on three sides. Most fairways are ample, as are the green and tees.

Some holes are difficult but spectacular and while the tremendous 528 mts 3rd hole offers wonderful sea views from the tee, you may not be very happy if you drive into the water hazard. The par 4 8th. with a dogleg to the right is, at 420 mts. full of trouble; watch out for the lake situated to the right of the fairway.

Buggies, bags and clubs are available for renting, and you can enjoy its bar, restaurant, swimming pool and tennis court, and ask Mr. José A. Gomez, the club pofessional, for his advices.
