The fair and festivities in Benahavis, take place between the 11th. and 15th. of August, with a typical "Misa Rociera", -a special flamenco mass - and the procession of la Virgen del Rosario, patron saint of the village. Several bars set in the streets offer to the visitors the fresh wine and the delicious typical "tapas", while and orchestra or a flamenco group, sing and dance in every corner of the town. Also very interesting is the Romeria - the pilgrimage - held on the 6th. and 7th. of October.

On the sporting front, golf is especially well catered for in Benahavis, considering the numerous courses which surround it, along with no less abundant sport activities such as hiking, mountain biking or hunting that can de practised in the Benahavis area with great ease.
