Located next to the formula 1and motorcycles circuit of Jerez, it was officially inaugurated with the 1994 Turespaña Masters Open of Andalucía.

Following the preferences of its designer the famous golfer Jack Nicklaus, Montecastillo course is mostly flat, except for the impressive high tee of the 18th. hole, located 40 mts over the broad sweep of fairway, which borders a lake to the left and the green just beyond.

The Montecastillo Hotel and Castle Club overlook the final green, and offers a complete service of bar and restaurant, swimming pools, tennis courts, buggies, carts and clubs to hire, etc. The Club is managed by Mr. Pierre Aron and its president is Mr. Manuel Prado Colón. The club professional is Cristobal Jaime Rodriguez.
