In the popular La Merced square, presided by the obelisk built in memory of General Torrijos, is located the house where on 25th of October 1881 the universal painter Pablo Ruiz Picasso was born.

While the new Picasso Museum is established, and where it will be possible to admire a very important part of his pictures, this house is a mini-museum where you can see letters, photographs and momentous of the painter.
