Masterpiece of the malaguenian civil architecture, it occupy a large block formed by two units built in the XVI century, plus another unit used as the Bishop residence, which was built at the end of the XVIII century. The author of the project was Antonio Ramos and after his death it was continued by José Martín de Aldehuela.
The most important parts of the palace, are the stairs, built in a classic imperial style, the private garden, the throne lounge and the main façade, in which upper part is located a sculpture of the "Virgen de las Angustias" made in marble by the sculptor Fernando Ortiz.
