Situated on the edge of the Malaga-Cadiz highway (N-340) and next to the Residencia de Tiempo Libre, west of Marbella, the building is uniquely suited to its function - and is in the geographical centre of the Costa del Sol.

Malaga's international airport is 45 kms. to the west, and in both directions the centre is surrounded by a broad variety of tourist installations.

The centre is organized to attract participation in its activities, and offers services to government, business and tourism professionals.

To use a modern expression, it is an "office without walls", an interactive reference centre for the whole range of tourism-related activities being carried out on the Coast.

Its key focus is in line with the main goals of the PLAN DIA - the Compressive Plan for Tourism Development in Andalusia .
