Getting to know San Roque means learn a quite a lot about Spanish history. It is also to know better the generous and open character of Andalusians, able to adapt to and absorb all the civilizations which have converged here.
We combine elements from Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans, Syrians,
Visigoths, Castilians, Arabs...even Americans. The result of so
many mixtures has been this hospitable people, which makes no
distinction between natives and locals.
As Mayor, I am happy to take this opportunity to broadcast our qualities worldwide, and this also makes it easier for me to issue an open invitation to all those who wish to share our climate, beaches, cuisine, celebrations and customs.
Information is available to all comers at the Tourist Information office, at the entrance of the municipal area in Torreguadiaro, as well as at the Town Hall.
We will be happy to attend to all enquiries, and are confident that after your visit you will decide to become a resident of our area.
